What Does Kerygma Mean?

Kerygma is a Greek word which means "proclamation, announcement, preaching". Thus Kerygma Properties speak for themselves!

In the bible, Kerygma means the initial gospel proclamation designed to introduce a person to Christ and to appeal for repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.  Christ, of course, was the center of this  kerygma.  The cross and resurrection are crucial to the kerygmatic preaching of Christ.

"Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation" (Mk. 16:15).

"God decided, through the foolishness of our proclamation to save those who believe" (1 Cor. 1:21).

"For we do not proclaim ourselves; we proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord" (2 Cor. 4:5).

"We proclaim Christ crucified" (1 Cor. 1:23).
